For newborns requiring small-volume transfusions. Pediatric bags can be used for more than one newborn and also for small-framed people.

The contraindications are the same as those for AS-3/SAGM packed red blood cells.

The dosage and administration of pediatric packs are essentially the same as those of AS-3/SAGM packed red blood cells.

Storage

Pediatric pockets have the same shelf life as AS-3/SAGM packed red blood cells.
