Volunteer recognition program

Our volunteer recognition program shows our appreciation for the immeasurable support of group leaders and volunteers working in permanent groups, of members of the Association of Blood Donation Volunteers (ABDV), of blood drive organizing committees and the volunteers working in them, and student volunteers.

This program is a way to thank volunteers through:

• Events

  • Annual public recognition during National Volunteer Week and National Blood Donor Week 
  • Official ceremonies to honour committees that have reached a five-year milestone 
  • Recognition evenings for ABDV and Héma-Québec volunteers every two years

• Tokens of recognition

  • Certificates of recognition awarded to committees every five years.
  • Distinctive souvenir pin awarded after every five-year period of volunteering.
