2023-2024 Action plan for integrating people with disabilities
The Act to secure handicapped persons in the exercise of their rights with a view to achieving social, school and workplace integration states in section 61.1 that public agencies must adopt an action plan identifying the barriers to integration handicapped persons encounter and describing the measures taken over the past year and those to be taken in the coming year. This action plan must be published annually.
The action plan includes a series of measures to identify and reduce barriers for people with disabilities. This approach is in line with the government policy to increase the social participation of people with disabilities. Equality rights and social participation are key concepts in this action plan. Héma‑Québec has produced an action plan every year that it has been subject to section 61.1 of the Act.
